The buyer is the data architecture and engineering leadership: chief data officer, data architect, head of analytics engineering. The sales motion is enterprise-driven, with named-account targeting at large organizations exploring fraud detection, knowledge graphs, recommendation engines, and supply-chain analytics use cases.
The problem
Neo4j aimed to enhance the efficiency and growth of advertising while maximizing budget. They sought to increase the volume of net-new enterprise leads — the buyers most likely to convert into high-value, multi-year contracts. The challenge: getting Google Ads to optimize for genuine enterprise prospects, not the broader audience clicking on graph-database content.
The work
Neo4j implemented a new AI-based campaign type in Google Ads, supplied with offline signals from their CRM. The campaign type served ads across the entire Google inventory (Search, Display, Discovery, Gmail, YouTube) and optimized ad spend based on quality of contacts entering the CRM. With our help, Neo4j implemented an offline conversion based on their enterprise ICP. The ICP Lead signals powered both smart bidding in Google Ads and cross-channel reporting in Looker Studio.
