About BuildFire.

BuildFire is a mobile app development platform that helps businesses build and manage iOS and Android apps without traditional code. The product sits inside the no-code/low-code mobile app builder category — alongside Bubble, Adalo, and Glide — and competes on its enterprise-grade scalability, plugin marketplace, and ability to support both DIY and managed-service motions.

The buyer spans both prosumers building apps for small businesses and enterprise marketing/operations leaders rolling out internal or customer-facing apps at scale. Going upmarket meant shifting paid social acquisition from a B2C-shaped audience toward decision-makers at 50+-person businesses.

BuildFire had a successful B2C communication strategy and was looking to extend its offering to 50+ sized businesses needing a mobile platform. A new B2B communication strategy was needed — and Facebook's native targeting wasn't built for the firmographic precision the new motion required.

What we built.

Collaborating with us, BuildFire chose to focus on Facebook and use account-level targeting via Clearbit to maintain cost-effective CPA. Clearbit was utilized to identify the ideal customer profile and compile target account lists using first-party data from the website and Salesforce. Our two-fold strategy: using Clearbit ICP audiences built from firmographic data for demand generation, and building audiences based on quality signals (MQLs and SQLs) exported to Facebook for Lookalike campaigns in various regions. Optimizing for deeper funnel conversions delivered substantial efficiency gains.
