About TrillerTV.

TrillerTV is a global streaming destination for combat sports and live entertainment, offering pay-per-view, subscription, and AVOD content across boxing, MMA, wrestling, and live music. The product sits inside the niche streaming and PPV category — alongside DAZN, FITE, and UFC Fight Pass — and competes on its breadth of combat sports rights and its high-frequency live event calendar.

The customer is the combat sports fan and the live event purchaser, with PPV buying decisions often made hours or days before an event. Marketing operates on an unusually fast cadence: each week brings new events that need promotion, conversion windows are short, and demand is highly time-sensitive.

Scaling user acquisition and PPV sale pipeline using paid advertising with existing human resources was the core challenge. TrillerTV was already leveraging Display, Video, Shopping, Social, and direct media buy, but was under-leveraging Google Search. They aired 20+ live PPV events per week and had limited resources to build dedicated campaigns, resulting in 10% of all events being promoted in Google Search.

The work

What we built.

To close the event promotion gap in Search, we built an internal application — Dynamic Event Promoter (DEP) — leveraging the Google Ads API and an event product feed to automatically create a new Google Ads search ad group for every new PPV event, including search keywords, text ads, and ad extensions. We further extended search reach by building automated import rules in Bing Ads and leveraged smart bidding and data-driven conversion attribution.
